At Surrey Electrical & Fire, we are pleased to offer Wireless Zone Monitors, an ideal solution for expanding fire detection coverage in homes and commercial premises. Whether you need to enhance an existing system or improve coverage in areas where cabling is challenging, wireless detectors provide a seamless and efficient solution.
The Universal Wireless Zone Monitor (WZM) enables the integration of EMS wireless technology into any fire alarm system.
By utilising the full range of EMS FireCell wireless devices, it is possible to extend coverage into areas where traditional cabling may be impractical or where a wireless solution is preferred for aesthetic or logistical reasons.
EMS is a recognised leader in wireless fire detection technology, continuously pioneering innovative and intuitive solutions. Headquartered in Surrey, EMS has been at the forefront of the wireless industry for over 45 years, manufacturing from our award-winning facility in Herne Bay. Our approach is to collaborate with industry partners to ensure customer satisfaction. Flexibility is a key factor when determining fire detection requirements.
While protection remains the top priority, business continuity and minimal disruption often play a crucial role in decision-making when selecting fire safety solutions.
The Wireless Zone Monitor has been designed to integrate seamlessly into any system, with each WZM capable of supporting up to 30 wireless devices of any type, regardless of power consumption. This allows for high-power devices such as sounders and Visual Alarm Devices (VADs) to be incorporated without affecting the system’s loop power or addressing capacity.
Each wireless field device features a dual power supply, meeting the requirements of both BS 5839 and EN54-25, ensuring a minimum operational lifespan of three years. The Wireless Zone Monitor requires a 24V power supply, which can be sourced directly from the main fire panel or via a dedicated power unit.
